Who are DPSTech? Are a Technology Specialist and MSP delivering IT, Communication and Digital services and support to a range of clients across a broad spectrum of services.

Work Completed: Assistance with GDPR Compliance and understanding as we work on ISO27001 certification.

The Need

As their loyal clients started showing more of an interest in certification and compliance, DPSTech sought a strong partner with expertise in data protection and security in order to gain a better understanding of their client’s needs and be able to offer them support. As we had been previously introduced by a prominent MSP security specialist, DPSTech reached out to us, and we were committed to demonstrating our unwavering dedication to data protection and security for them.

The Solution

While DPSTech had solid groundwork, had established procedures and understanding they needed to improve documentation and evidence of good practice. With a strategic roadmap planned out, we collaborated with DPSTech to fortify their GDPR stance and achieve ISO 27001 certification in partnership with QualityCERT.

Cybata delivered the GDPR program of work that included:

  • Education for the DPSTech team
  • Support to develop their Record of Processing Activity (RoPA)
  • Provision of a GDPR policy and procedure pack
  • Support to implement the GDPR policies and procedures

QualityCERT, delivered the ISO27001 program of work:

  • Gap Analysis
  • Preparation & Implementation
  • Pre-certification audit
  • Management of ISO Certification process

The Success

As clients are trying to up their levels of digital compliance, technology providers and MSPs are continuing to explore how to further support them. It is likely that we’ll soon see a level of governance, compliance or even regulation becoming inevitable for this sector. DPSTech were comfortable in knowing that Cybata are ahead of the game in knowledge and security when these changes may be imposed on companies similar to theirs. Now armed with sharper insights, DPSTech are prepared to provide valuable guidance and support to their own clients looking to embark on a similar path.
